The area Central Europe consists of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, whereby this role has got a strong focus on Germany The Medical Manager reports directly to the Medical TA Head Immunology The Medical Manager will work in close collaboration with the Medical Liaison Manager, local/area Marketing counterparts, country/area Market Access, and other stakeholders on local/area level. The incumbent assures local medical tactical alignment and implementation. The Medical Manager is a key contributor to the EU brand strategy generation based on insights generation. The Medical Manager has, apart from his local focus an EU focus where he/she either leads or participates in an EU work stream addressing Key Customer Questions Major Accountabilities: Gathering of actionable insights: In all customer related activities, i.e.

field visits, Preceptor ships, Advisory Boards with top-KOL, congresses, summits, Patient Value Tables Patients: support / develop patient-focused tools aimed to bring patients a superior value in the personal management & understanding of the disease Start and facilitate contacts with concerned Patients´ associations aimed to serve and protect person integrity as sufferer Ensure scientific knowledge through literature review and congresses Cross-functional support: participate in the local/area Brand Manager’s network meetings contributing to the alignment of medical and marketing strategies for the brand leveraging medical insights from External Experts and knowledge of recent scientific publications and contributing medically to the concretization of Brand Plan tactics Market Access: provide input to the core product brand EU value dossier; adapt the core EU product brand value dossier to local needs and regulations Collaborate with Medical and Regulatory colleagues in order to ensure all projects are designed and implemented according to compliance and legal requirements Develop & Assess educational/training materials, ensuring that all claims are fully supported by scientific data, and are presented in an accurate, fair and balanced manner Contribute from area perspective to development of scientific publications related to the therapeutic area/brand Medical Plan: Provide significant medical input to develop the EU medical plan and strategies based on PVU (Patient Value Unit) guidance on overall strategy Drive the medical part of the local/area Brand plan; Execute the local/area medical plan activities including budget control, including medical role in LRC. Lead/contribute in specific EU medical work streams based on skills and areas of interest. Data generation: Provide expert input into the EU Phase IIIb/IV plan for the therapeutic area portfolio including scientific design and concept, site and investigator selection (together with MSL), medical conduct, results assessment and publication for company-sponsored clinical research. Support IIS following applicable processes and regulations Support/development of area real life data generation in the products of the therapeutic area Data dissemination: Contribute at area level to building high value-added medical programs such as Continuous Medical Educational Programs and Symposia Training: Provide/contribute to continued scientific training organized at EU level for Field –based medical personnel Compliance: Understand and ensure working knowledge of the SOPs, GCP and ICH, as well as legal and ethical standards Your Profile: Medical Doctor (MD), PhD in Natural Sciences or PharmD Excellent command of written and spoken German and English This role is -office based inin Monheim, Germany Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Medical Affairs (Immunology disease area knowledge preferred) Understanding and willingness to drive product development process over different stages of the life cycle Build effective networks with EU & Central Europe peers (Marketing/Sales/Medical) Demonstrated negotiation/influencing, conflict resolution and problem solving skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within a matrix organization Able to focus on delivering customer value and impact High level of integrity, honesty, responsibility and scientific accuracy Creative mind-set, can-do attitude and hands-on problem solving skills, while able to think strategically Strong multi-tasking, time management, organizational and project-management skills Flexible and mobile to travel on regular basis Have we made you curious?
